About the Zero to Hero Challenge:
Zero to Hero is a Dragons’ Den meets The Apprentice corporate competition, a unique team building challenge which gives teams from different companies the opportunity to compete against each other to raise vital funds for The Prince’s Trust by planning and implementing a successful fundraising initiative.
For us, as a team and a company, one of the key things about this competition and the funds we raise is that despite The Princes Trust being a national charity, all funds we raise will stay in the local area, making a real difference to the lives of young people in the community in which we work. Specifically, our funds will go towards The Trust’s Fairbridge programme which supports 13-25 years old from the most disadvantaged and chaotic backgrounds.
There are over 700,000 unemployed young people in the UK, a number like this is huge, but what it doesn't really show is the hundreds of thousands of stories that make up this number. With numbers like this in mind, alongside the fact that 1 in 5 young people in Merseyside leave school with no qualifications, we as a team of employees from Bibby Line Group are keen to make a real impact with our event.
